Polio Plus Society Membership Form

The PolioPlus Society is NOT a Rotary International project; it is a district project.

 

To join, Rotarians pledge a minimum donation of $100 per year to Polio Plus, until polio is eradicated.

 

Donations count toward Paul Harris Fellow status. Members may donate any way they wish, but we recommend donating online through their MyRotary accounts. That method lets them select how much to donate and how often ($10 a month would accrue to $120 a year.) Of course, donations are matched 2 to 1 by the Gates Foundation, so $100 becomes $300, which immunizes a lot of children (about 100 at the current cost of vaccine, transportation, hiring the folks who go village to village administering the vaccine, etc.) No Rotary Police will check up on the status of the pledge; we'll 4-Way Test this.

 

Members receive recognition, of course (it don't mean a thing without that Rotary bling!) They receive a special pin as well as a certificate. 100% PolioPlus Society clubs also receive special recognition.
