Norman Rotaract Club will be partnering with Norman Food and Shelter to present a Free Farmer’s Market on November 13 at Iglesia del Pueblo de Dios at 2040 W. Boyd in Norman.

In the Spring of 2021, seven members of Norman Rotaract Club participated in the New Gen Peacebuilders project in which the members attended peace building trainings in, created a project to target a specific issue and population in the community, and implemented the project in summer 2021. These seven members of Norman Rotaract Club created the Free Farmer’s Market as their peace project in partnership with Norman Food and Shelter.

The first Free Farmer’s Market took place in July 2021. A total of 69 children, 99 adults, and 9 seniors were fed during the first Free Farmer’s Market. It is our expectation that we may double this (if not more!) during this Free Farmer’s Market on November.

On behalf of Norman Rotaract Club, Norman Food and Shelter, and all those we will serve, I would like to personally invite all Rotarians from any club of District 5770 to come out on November 13 at Iglesia del Pueblo de Dios to meet other Rotarians, including the members of our awesome Rotaract Club! Set up for the event will begin at 8am and the Farmer’s Market will run from 9am-11am.

I hope that you will come support and experience a great community service event!

Yours in Service,

Matthew McAngus
